About California FOP

In 1915, the life of a policeman was bleak. In many communities they were forced to work 12 hour days, 365 days a year. Police officers didn't like it, but there was little they could do to change their working conditions. There were no organizations to make their voices heard; no other means to make their grievances known.
The California Fraternal Order of Police consist of 32 Lodges throughout the State. Each Lodge has an elected State Trustee that serves on board.
It is with great honor that I serve as the State President. I want to thank you for all your support since being elected at the State Conference in August of last year.
The California Fraternal Order of Police, State Lodge www.fop.net Founded in 1915, a tradition of police officers representing police officers was born. The Fraternal Order of Police was given life by two dedicated police officers determined to better their profession and improve the lives of those who choose to protect and serve our communities, States and Country.
The Executive Board is comprised of both active and retired officers throughout the State.
The California Fraternal Order of Police is proud to be affiliated with several organizations.
