Today, each one of us faces unprecedented challenges in our personal and professional lives; from economic hardships to attacks on labor, benefits, pensions and our collective bargaining rights. Each challenge brings its own set of issues; however, each is undeniably intertwined.
Over 100 years ago, two brave men began a quest to ensure protections were afforded to their law enforcement brothers and sisters, both in their personal and professional lives; at the dinner table and at the bargaining table. Today, their vision of a strong and commanding fraternal organization is unchanged and growing.
Since the beginning, the Fraternal Order of Police has provided its membership unparalleled opportunities for personal growth, professional advancement, labor and legislative access and representation, legal protection and security. Most of all, it affords us an opportunity to be a part of the most powerful voice in law enforcement today.
The California Fraternal Order of Police has over 17,000 members from 39 Police organizations. They take advantage of the many benefits we offer them to better serve their membership. For many organizations, we have found savings in their membership dues, which they can now use for other services for their members.
We have fought for and won on many fronts to be where we are today. The Fraternal Order of Police will continue to work for every member of law enforcement to see that we keep what we have.
I personally invite you to join me and the nearly 334,000 other law enforcement professionals nationwide who collectively continue to, “Build on a Proud Tradition."
Roger Mayberry, President
